In addition the controlled chemistry, especially the low carbon equivalent, translates into an excellent weldability. The consistency in the mechanical properties of these steels improve the formability and welding performance.
Special requirements such as HIC (hydrogen induced cracking) resistance or high ductility at low temperature are available as an option.
